Why Choose European Formula?
European organic formula is held to higher standards than conventional formula. Local brands may contain potentially harmful ingredients like sweeteners and GMOs, and could be made with pesticides, antibiotics, or hormones. In contrast, Europe's strict organic regulations ensure that European organic formula is completely free of all harmful substances. This makes it more nutritious and closer to breastmilk than conventional formula.
Additionally, European organic formula typically uses lactose as its primary protein source, which is composed of whey and casein. Since cow's lactose has less whey than breastmilk, whey is added to make the formula more similar to breastmilk. Many European formulas use only lactose as the carbohydrate source, and avoid bad carbohydrates like corn syrup solids, glucose syrup solids, sucrose, sugar, and brown rice syrup. Vegetable oils like palm oil, coconut oil, and sunflower oil are usually used for fat. On the other hand, some American formulas may contain hidden soy in their ingredient list, which may not be ideal for some babies.

The decision to switch to formula is a personal one that varies for each mother based on her individual needs and circumstances. We recommend that you seek advice from your pediatrician before making a decision.
If you do decide to transition to formula, we suggest doing so gradually to help your baby adjust comfortably. Additionally, formula can be used to supplement breastmilk in case of reduced milk production.
Choosing to switch to formula is a significant decision, and we encourage mothers to breastfeed for as long as possible. However, if the time has come to make the transition, we are happy to provide the best formula options for your baby.
Essential for promoting healthy brain development, DHA and ARA are fatty acids that are naturally present in breastmilk and included in all the organic formula brands we offer. DHA is commonly found in fish oil and algae, and can also be created synthetically. Lebenswert incorporates natural fish oil DHA in all its products, while Loulouka Goat Milk formula features DHA extracted from algae, making it a 100% vegetarian option.
After opening, baby formula usually remains fresh for up to 21 days if you store it correctly. If the formula comes in a cardboard box, remember to reseal the foil pouch inside to maintain freshness. For formula in a can, it's best to use the original lid or transfer it to a sealable storage container. Be sure to review the instructions on the box or can for any specific storage guidance.
